Tomato Salsa

What you need

  • 800g peeled, deseeded tomatoes (or 800g tin)
  • Juice of one lime
  • ½ of a medium sized white onion or ¼ of a large white onion cut into large chunks
  • 2 jalapeños, halved, stems cut off
  • 2-3 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 teaspoons of cumin + more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • ½ teaspoons of kosher salt + more to taste
  • 1 cup of fresh cilantro, stems cut off

How it’s done

Add 650g of tomatoes, lime juice, half the prepared onion, one jalapeno and all remaining ingredients to food processor

Process until tomatoes are salsa consistency

Add remaining tomato, onion and jalapeno and pulse until just chunky

Add more salt and cumin to taste if needed
