Scones

What you need

  • 4 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cream
  • 375-400ml milk

How it’s done

Preheat conventional oven to 250 degrees. Lightly grease a large oven tray

Combine flour and salt in a large bowl.

Add cream and 375ml milk. Stir to a dough, adding more milk if needed. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until dough comes together

Press dough out to 2cm thick. Cut out 5cm rounds.

Bring dough scraps together and press out to 2.5cm thick. Cut more rounds. Continue bringing dough together, pressing 0.5cm thicker each time and cutting rounds until there isn’t enough dough left

Place onto greased tray, brush with milk.

Cook 12-15 min until golden brown on top.
